The 12 Ga. 391 urika came with mobil chokes, it was when they came out with the urika2 that they switched to the optima bore. Guns dating prior to 2003 came with the mobil choke system spec. @ .722-.723 nominal, optima are spec @ .732-.733 or .010 overbore from the mobil.

The Beretta support website has a limited serial number decoder for all their firearm products. It's divided into four separate searches based on manufacture year. Beretta Firearm Technical Data Search FormThe quality of information it returns varies based on unknown factors, but it has typically returned the specific model number, options (such as gauge, barrel length, chamber), and year of manufacture/registration. Edited to update the link

Just bought a Silver Pigeon 1 and a AL391 Urika 2 Parallel Trap. The SP1 came with Optima Flush tibe chokes and the U2 came with Optima extended chokes. The SP1 also came with oiled walnut furniture and not gloss and I am told that is newas well as using the Optima Chokes.

This thread is old, but there still seems to be some confusion about the White Onyx Sporting. I sure enjoy mine and the value I found in it. It has the back bored barrels with Optima chokes. From the Beretta website... Quote: Designed to fulfill everything shooters look for in a competition shotgun, the Beretta 686 White Onyx Sporting over-and-under proves that you can still get brilliant results on a reasonable budget. It features a receiver machined with the Beretta distinctive Dura-Jewel pattern and a nickel-alloy finish contrasting with the satin side panels and the gold-plated trigger. The Optima-Bore® barrels reduce felt recoil and the Optimachoke® tubes guarantee a perfect shot pattern and a regular distribution of pellets.

Update to this thread...I know its a little dusty.
2013 build date Beretta SV10 Prevail I Sporting. I have one with 30" Optima Bore HP barrels that was factory fit with Optima Bore HP steel chokes. There are no other Beretta chokes that will work with the HP designated barrels.
Best, Bob

Can anyone help me understand the Beretta SV10 Perennia website (URL: http://www.sv10perennia.com/index.aspx?m=53&did=3067 )? Two questions: 1. Drop is listed as 1.5"/2.36" or 1.38"/2.17". Is this for both 12 and 20 gauge, and the difference is based on shim position? Or? 2. What is the receiver height (total height, including rib)? Thanks in advance.
