I definitely like the look of it. I am also curious to hear a 694/692 comparison. Do you think this will reduce the value of the 692??

it's a whole new platform according to Beretta, new action etc. The 692 was bitten by a few issues upon release and really tarnished, kinda like the SV Prevail, however once they got in the hands of shooters and got out there, they have been proven to be work horses.
I do think it will devalue the 692 if it's truly a "better" gun, however I'd like to know if the new 694's are balanced from the factory, and or if they have the stock weight adjustment. It would also be interesting to know if the forcing cones are the same length as the 692.
I'd also like to know what the new "ejection" system is and how that works, if it's like a 692 or not. I see adjustment slots on the receiver, leads me to believe that you can adjust between eject and extract.
As someone that owns a 692, I feel like alot of shooters are missing out by not considering a new 692. It's alot of gun for the money.

I will keep an eye on the Cole's website and when they get one of these at the Maine location will take the opportunity to go check it out. Will be interesting to see what the price point on this will be. I have been contemplating purchase of a mid range O/U.
speaking of the 692's, based on what I see with my son's experience with his and another couple guys I know, the guns of that designation built over the past few years are reliable performers. If the intro of the 694 devalues the 692, I would certainly consider buying one myself.

it's up on the Beretta website.
I'll spare you guys my thoughts on the ridiculous video they have promoting it. Gun looks pretty neat. kinda a baby DT look (I love the look of the regular DT11) and no more plasti-dipped lever. adjustable weighting sounds good.
still....how Beretta calls that pallet wood stock a 'grade 2.5+' piece of timber is absolutely beyond me.
Claimed different stock dimensions. will be interested to shoulder one. I think a move in the right direction.

The wood on my 692 is really good and that's called 2-5, maybe I got a good one, I don't know, but a decent amount of people have come up to me and asked me who built my stock. Computer pictures and online renderings don't do any justice until you see one in person.

What adjustment slots are you referring to? It's a nice looking gun. Hopefully Beretta got it right. By the looks of it, I'd guess that the "new stock dimensions and new pistol grip" just follow the DT dimensions. The pistol grip design looks very DT-ish. (this would be a good upgrade for the 690 line)

(this would be a good upgrade for the 690 line) I meant barrels sorry.......I have a teething 6 month old at home, if you look at the top, you can see the flat slot, if you turn those that will adjust the ejector and set it to extract. Or at least it does on my 692, it's adjustable. Some guys like it, some guys hate it. I'd like to know what the difference is between the 694 and the 695 sporting, obviously the engraving, but is it the same platform? I agree it does look like a baby DT11 it's a good looking gun.

Oops I see some open pores on the stock in that video linked.
Just not a fan of that look at all. Looks cheap. I wonder if that's a style choice or a $$ choice.

I like the non-rubber lever, but the ejectors appear to be the same as my 2018 manufactured 692. The fore end Iron is different, I think this is just a slightly modified 692, but with a new model number to get out from under the 692 black cloud.

Forgot to mention you got a flat forend up front instead of the schnabel front end. Tic for tack I like the schnabel

I just added a new 692 Black B-Fast to my collection and my DT-11. I alway wanted one as they are fantastic guns. Jona had a close out sale on 692 and I got their last Black model for a price far below the entry of a new base model 694 MSRP. Cole's will mod the trigger to work with .410 tubes and she should ship mid next week. The 694 looks nice, but no Black model in sight and it has a fatal flaw for me: The buttstock drop is too shallow. I shoot FITAS and international and need a huting stock drop. My DT-11 has 38/60 as does the 692 and that is min for me. The 692 with the new buttonstyle ejectors is a solid platform and a lovely gun in every way. I wonder of the 694 will be additional or replace the 692 series?

You can order the new 694 with different stock drop dimensions, if you read the entire product listing and all of the product information on beretta USA”s website it lists out that you can do that, and you can order a 694 with a different for-end as well. Either beavertail or schnabel. But I’m glad you stayed with the 692, you’ll be very happy!

The last video posted mentioned a "3,200 quid" retail price for the UK Roughly converted, about $4,000 USD No question, it's a great looking rig Hypothetical choice, would you purchase new 694 or spend another thousand for a used DT10?
