Anyone make a heavier forend cap for the 28ga A400? Will a 391 cap work?
Thanks.

Yup. Briley.
Just bought one today, along with 2 extra 2oz weight sections, for a total of 8oz (4oz forend 'cap' assembly + two 2oz additional weight sections.)

Is it the same cap that fits a 12ga Or 20ga, or size specific for 28ga?

I picked up mine directly from Briley yesterday, while at the Gator Cup in Okechobee, FL. They are there in the vendor's area. The young lady attending their sales area took me in their trailer and showed me the difference, as she was putting together my forend cap assembly for my 28ga.
Dimensionally, they are mostly identical: length, outside diameter, and all threads.
The only difference is the 'washer' on the spring retaining end of the cap, that screws onto the magazine cap of the gun to hold the forend in place.

If it were not such an unnecessarily excruciating process to upload pictures from my mobile device, I would upload my personal photos of the difference between the two for you.

Sheesh.....
It was easier to just post a whole thread over at Trapshooters.com, then to try to upload images here using a mobile device.

Wish they would make it easier and more user friendly!

I put an a400 xcel 12ga cap on the 28ga, And it cycles fine. Then I tried putting the 28 gauge cap on the 12 gauge, also worked. So I guess it’s all the same cap?

Best bet....
Call Briley and ask them, instead of a bunch of internet ‘experts’.

Again.... yes and no. The Briley forend caps are the same between the gauges, with the exception of one part. Scroll up and follow my thread to photos at Trapshooters.com, or call Briley.

A friend had the 28 A400; I couldn't shoot it worth a damn because it was so light up front. I removed the Briley weights from my 12 and screwed them on the 28 and SHAZAAM, I was hitting targets.................

Found out the beretta balance cap weight system will also work on the 28ga.
