I was going to send the trigger to Coles anyway. The trigger on this new gun feels like 6 pounds and makes a clicking noise when you start to pull it back. What a joke these triggers are from the factory. I had a better trigger on my first BB gun.

Coles in Maine can take care of that for you, they do GREAT WORK.
Also GREAT on the 391's.

I am surprised! I have been shooting my A400 Xcel for the past seven years and have put many thousands of rounds down the barrel and have had no issues with the trigger what so ever. If yours is defective Coles can certainly put it right.

Except for the trigger, you like the gun?

Yes I like the gun. I intend to use it for sub gauge and 20 gauge FITASC. 30 inch barrel is nice. Just need to add some weight front and back. The trigger was a real unpleasant surprise. Triggers shouldn't be this bad right out of the box. The thing had creep, travel and some click in it when starting to travel back. Almost sounded like a release trigger setting. I read lots of bad stuff about the 20 gauge malfunctioning. Mine is perfect with Gun Club, Federal Game Loads and Win Super Speed. I do hear the action and feel the action more compared to my 391's. No big deal. The A400 sure has a lot of plastic in it.

I enjoy the stock A400 trigger, I'm one of the few, I personally don't know what the fuss is, it's not a $4,000 precision built over and under it's a $1700 auto shell shucker.

However get the cole's upgrade, or briley drop in, and see what the difference is.
