I am looking at getting a different shotgun for geese, turkey, coyote kinds of things

looking possibly a 391 xtrema with kick off (clean low mileage) or an a400 Extreme

There are some old threads on this a little bit when the A400 was new, now that they been around a while is there any reason to steer one way or the other?

Not in a huge hurry, so I can take my time and look and see what sort of prices/ deals I might find.

Thanks

I have both! Like both.
Xtrema I did not come with a KO system.
I will use both guns this upcoming season.
Can’t go wrong with either one.
Get both! :D

do you want a benelli style rotating bolt head or no? only you can answer that question, that's the difference, and then obviously the gas systems, the A400 has an updated gas system, choke systems are different.

new to old technology is the variable here.

then I stand corrected, I thought and understand that no 391 had the new style rotary benelli style bolt head and that only the A400's did. Hence the introduction of those models.

I wonder if the 391 Xtrema was a "parts bin" gun. As in excess inventory in parts lead to the creation of the model.

One thing I've learned with Beretta is that Beretta does what Beretta wants, and they will pump out the models they see fit.

I have an Xtrema2 and a A400. I like them both and shoot them both. No issues with either. I even shoot light target loads in the Xtrema2 on occasion at sporting clays and it cycles everything.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.

They did not have a rotary bolt gun until then so not a parts gun??
