I’m thinking about installing the adjustable trigger on my 686 SP1. My gun has the left hand cast trigger and my finger wraps the trigger more than I would like. I’m thinking a neutral cast adjustable trigger might do the trick. How much adjustment does this trigger offer? Compared to the factory trigger, how much forward and backward movement does the adjustable offer?

Don't know about the 686, but on my Browning Citori 525, it's only 0.33" from the front setting to the rear setting. This is more than 1/4" but less than 3/8" in maximum adjustment distance. There is also a middle setting which would be a little more than 1/8" from the forward and the same distance from the rear setting.

I have a 692 with an adjustable trigger, I thought I just had to have that feature and was so jacked about it, I brought the gun home, shouldered, grabbed the screw driver to make the adjustment...........and lone and behold the gun fit perfect and the pull was perfect from the factory, yes it's a great feature, but not needed.
