Update: Just got it back from Coles yesterday. They replaced the entire gun, new serial number. Everything looks good on it so I'm happy with Beretta service and especially Coles for taking care of this. Sadly I'll probably be selling it now that I have an unexpected new car bill for my wife.

for all those that are thinking about getting a 694...get one i have a hard time thinking should i shoot the perazzi mx8 or the 694 today,for me its a great gun

Might be the pic but it looks like the barrel trunion (round silver part) on the receiver is not fully tightened from the inside?

I feel bad for the OP. I got a 694 a month ago, and am totally pleased with all aspects of the gun. I wanted the LH non adjustable comb version and had a half dozen online guns in my sights for a couple of weeks. I hate to admit it, but I was chasing nice wood. This is Beretta #4 for me, and I can't complain about any of them.
