Looking at 694 but given pandemic, where I live, it is really hard to shoulder (let alone try) different barrel lengths. I am 5'11 185 lbs. Few other models I tried 30 or 32 in felt similar.

Given all Beretta's are balanced at hinge - seems like 2in barrel length delta should not be a large factor...

So my question - what is more commonly sold barrel lengths in 694/692/690 models? Theory is to "go with the flow" if no better info is available...

Thanks

I have owned lots of O/U target shotguns. Many 32 inch barrels. I found the 694 in 30 inch bbls very front end heavy. I wouldn't consider the 32's in that gun. And I'm 6-2 220. YMMV. If you buy and sell often 30 inch bbls hurt resale for some.

I'm 6 foot even 190 lbs or less I have a 692 with 32" pipes, balances right smack at the hinge pin, regardless of whether I have the muller chokes in or the factory extended ones.

Very few people shooting 30 inch barrels for sporting, 32"s have a nice swing and feel to them, if Beretta offered the 692 or 694 in 34"'s I'd have them.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of the major mfgs stops offering 30" sporting clay shotguns in the very near future.

I'll bet that 32" outsells 30" 5:1, and I'll bet both outsell 28" 100:1.

Like many , I’ve had 28, 30 and 32, personally would not consider anything less than 32

The density of the wood is the only uncontrollable factor, with respect to weight, in gun manufacturing. Different slabs of wood, even cut from the same plank, can vary in weight to a remarkable degree.

That's not a given IME. You should balance the gun how you want it to balance.

32" by far and away. That's the most common barrel length of all target guns, and its even becoming the most popular in skeet, where 26, 28, and 30" guns used to be the standard.
