My Beretta o/u has the adjustable trigger which I would like to back up a little. I removed the screw but the trigger won't budge. What am I doing wrong?

The instruction booklet says to not remove the screw completely so as to not let the "trigger bearing" come out. I didn't see that caution and did remove the screw completely. Nothing came out except the screw. But even with the screw loose and still in or all the way out, the trigger won't move forward or backward on the slotted mount.
