Just picked up a Cole Pro A400.... the weight is about 8oz lighter than my 391...just about 8 lbs.... What weight are you running for Sporting Clays?

I bought a few of the Briley mag cap weights; it made my A400 feel more like the Browning Gti 32" gun I had been shooting for many years.

I added a 8oz c&h Mercury recoil reducer which Screws on to the stock bolt. Works great and puts the gun at 8.2 lbs. Gun is balanced without adding weight up front. If you need more you can get the factory black or silver cap insert.

I should have added that the stock is a Wenig New American, not a factory stock. My A400 Upland is 7 1/4 pounds.

I shoot my A400 Xcel just as it came out of the box. It weighs 8 lbs. even. It shoots fine for me.
