I have a friend with a 1985 S687 marked Gardone VT. Has 28" barrels, field with solid side ribs, top rib is narrow width with a single bead on the end. Has 5 flush Mobil chokes. Case is nt original, but an aluminum aftermarket. Stock is oil finish and recoil pad seems to have some compression and not sure if it is original. I know there are other factors, but the barrels lock up tight and the top level is right of center maybe 5-5:30. The breech face shows some outline of the shotshell base, but it appears to only be residue from the last time it was shot as it rubbed off somewhat with just my finger. Probably needs a good cleaning.

It was his father's but he is looking to get an idea of value.

That gun is a S687L. 98% condition =$1425, 95% condition=$1200. Discontinued in 1999 if it's 12 gauge. Full price MSR new retail was $2255.
