Heard from two good sources that Beretta will be releasing the 300 in 20 gauge this year.

That would be great if they do. I believe it will be a big seller for them. If they build it on the 12 gauge frame, it will be like shooting a bb gun.

I'd like to see it on the 20 ga frame myself. Might own one if they produce it.

if they make one it will sell well, mid priced good dependable 20 gauge semi auto's seem to far and few between. Sure Remington 1100 is out there, but there isn't a ton from Browning and or Winchester. Benelli has some good offerings but not everyone wants an inertia driven action.

Kudos to Beretta if they make it happen, offer a 30 inch barrel and perhaps a sporting version that is heavier and BINGO!

The A400xcel in 20 gauge hasn't had the best run, I know alot of people have them and they like them and they have been trouble free, however there are some horror stories out there about the A400 xcel.

Definitely want one on a 20 gauge frame!

I hope these rumors are true.

I could see them not doing it cause they don't want to cut into their A400 20 gauge models, but they could probably get more sales cause you would have a nice price point offering, not everyone wants to spend a boat load on a 20 gauge semi auto

The third quarter is what was told to me and they had seen the prototype and said it looked nice.

Thanks for the reply. I'm guessing they will offer wood and black synthetic models. I hope they offer it in a 28" barrel, not just 26".

I think that would be a great shotgun to have. I don't think I'll ever part with my 20ga. AL391.

A300 is a huge value compared to most guns including the a400 at twice the price.

I have had a Winchester SX3 20 gauge for over 10 years. I mostly upland hunt with it, but I do shoot skeet with it also. It is extremely reliable and a soft shooter.

Just an idea for those here who think there are not other guns that are as good, I think better, than a Beretta A300 20 gauge would be.

I don't know why the MFG's offer 20 gauges in 26 inch barrel offerings, I get that many like a shorter barrel, but some of us like longer barrels for the balance aspect of it, I'd love to have a 20 gauge with a 30 inch barrel.

I get that they offer the a400 in the gauge with alot of different options, but the A400 xcel in 20 gauge has had some problems so.

I'm down for two. Need synthetic models with the stock spacers for the kids.
