I’ve read about the rib coming off the A-400 Black. Shooting sporting today, finished one station, went to the next, picked up my gun and the rib was gone. Went back one station and there it was in the shooting station. Slide it back on, have to slide back every 2 shots, 3 shots and it’s off again! I’m gluing it on. No need to EVER remove it again!

There is a roll pin you need to replace and glue in. Some have drilled out the existing hole and put in a slightly larger roll pin. I put crazy glue on either side of my roll pin before I ever shot it. Probably have 10k rounds with an issue so far.

You just need to develop a proper routine, i.e. shoot two shots, slide rib back. No big deal!.

I had to do that with a franchi I owned. You learn to work it in with the choke twist check.

Coles doesn’t have or sell pins. Send gun for repair. Waiting for call back from Brownells to see if they have pin?
Has anyone just glued it back into place???

Take that pin to your local hardware store

What`s Remington got to do with what I said?

I just don’t understand why you’d want a plastic rib on a shotgun....and pay extra for it!

Make a pin from a piece of wire that fits snugly. Set it with locktite and forget about it
