I don't see in Beretta specs where they mention chrome lined barrels. I am calling on the experts to chime in.
Thanks in advance....

The only barrels that I am aware of from Beretta of recent manufacture that weren’t chrome lined were the Bohler Antinit Steel barrels that did not need it because of the high chromium content in the steel. The steel became too expensive so they dropped it for “Excalibur and Steelium”

Hi Gents ,

All DT - 11 Barrels are not Chromed Lined .

" The barrels are not chromed but subject to a process of nitro carburizing; chromium is not
used in the process and this gives significant environmental benefits ".

Read this Article :

Many of the high end guns have chrome lined chambers only. With modern ammo chrome lined barrels aren't really needed in shotguns for civilian use. Today the only advantage of chrome lined barrels in a shotgun is easy cleaning.

Just read a story about a new Tri Star O/U in the current American Rifleman. The msrp is $730 and it has chrome lined barrels

Thanks PJD,

The article you linked is the exact one that prompted my question. As I understand the P Guns are not chrome lined which makes barrels easy to repair. So I wonder if DT11 barrels are repairable ?

My understanding that dents are repairable in plain barrels...If the barrel is chrome lined they are replaced.

Dents? Can’t remember the last time I saw a dented barrel. I guess it happens to the unlucky
