Hello everyone, I want to drill holes on the top of the receiver box of my Mossberg 500 and tap to fix a Mesa Tactical rail with 8-32 screws (Mesa Tactical high-tube stock kit whith 8-32# screw)

I would like to know the dimensions of the holes to be made on the receiver (in mm and in inches) the exact dimensions on the mossberg 500, which drill number do I need? what tap numbers do i need? :?: :)

Thank you in advance {hs# for your help, and I apologize for my deplorable English. :D

I am sorry that I cannot answer most of your questions as I don't own a Mossberg.
As far as the Drill # and tap sizes etc. the device LINKed below may help in that regard. I just bought one from Amazon for less than $10.00.

Both Reddit and Facebook have Mossberg sections. You may get your answer there.

For an 8-32 screw of course you want an 8-32 tap, and you'll need a #29 (.136) drill.

Bing is your friend...
