I searched all over the web to find any information on adding a scope or red dot sight to a 16 gauge bolt action (190KA or 390KA) and found very little information.
I have a 695 slug gun in 12 gauge that has a rail made by Evolution Gun Works to fit the factory machined scope mount holes. https://www.opticsplanet.com/egw-mossbe ... -2084.html
I bought a 390KA last week in hopes that the 695 rail might work. Well, it turns out that the receiver of the 16 gauge 390KA is identical in every dimension to the 695. It will be going to the gunsmith tomorrow morning to get drilled and tapped. I'm hoping to make this my go-to turkey gun.

My gunsmith drilled and tapped for the rail and I got out to the range today. I have some very usable patterns with #6 lead. The next step in the project is to strip the stock and stain it dark gray or black.
