Hello,

I would like to know what is the precision and distance to which one can be precise with a mossberg 500, 16" smooth barrel or 16.5".

Shot with chevrotine 9 pellets or 12 , also Striped slug and finally I'm shooting Cartridge shot number 0 and 3

Sorry for my bad English, I'm French, and it's only you Americans I admire who have the answer

Here's a photo to give you an idea to tell me what its can do in terms of accuracy and distance

thank you

In my experience, with my skill, I limit buck shot to 25 yards and slugs to 50 yards. Better shooters with better eyes can probably double that distance.

Is that a good distance? 25 yards

It looks a little difficult to point. With the front rail so far below the receiver, how do you point the thing?

My 2 cents worth.

Installing a red dot on that receiver rail would make it a very usable and formidable close quarters urban social adjustment tool. That said...

"16 inch Mossberg 500" and "precision" in the same sentence is a contradiction in terms.

Btw, your English is better than many who are natives. ;)
