Are either of the above still a thing?

How long were they available as an option?

I have seen a couple of versions retailed by Havlin Sales, but who else out there may have some?
Looking for plain wood as opposed to painted, but solid plastic would also work.

Were the PG gripped defender models around for long as their forend grips look like interesting...

I used to examine auctions on eBay and Gunbroker with search words "Mossberg 500 wood". The wood corncob forends come up occasionally. Interestingly, the earliest Mossberg ATP tactical / police guns did not have wood corncob forends, which came later. People like them because they remember the old Winchester Model 12 riot guns from the 1920's and 1930's. Mossberg wood corncob forends have not been offered since the 1980's, IIRC. You can check with Mr. Havlin, but I suspect that a 12 gauge wood corncob forend will fit a 20 gauge Mossberg 500B. It's only money, haha, so you can experiment, and if it does not and cannot be altered to fit, just auction it off. Your question is very unlikely to be knowledgeably answered after so many years have passed by. Be sure to update us with what you do. Good luck, sir.
