Just reaching out to see if anyone else is planning to attend this weekend in Medford Wisconsin. I'll be there representing all of us Ithaca guys and gals. I'll be shooting a 1910 Flues 16 gauge 1-1/2 grade with damascus barrels. My back up gun will be a 1920 Flues 16 gauge S (field) grade with fluid steel barrels. My back up to my back up is a Parry hammer gun, Quality 1, 12 gauge with damascus barrels. If you are attending, I'd like to meet you and have a drink (after we shoot of course).

Sounds like a great time--and you will be representing the Ithaca line very well. Shoot safe and straight.

Thanks guys... I wish you were were here to shoot with me.
Today was hot... I felt like I was in Sanford.
It was practice day and any gun was allowed so I shot the M51 Centennial with Art Twarz wood that I bought from Walt last year. It was deadly on the Incoming Mallard course. They have a Grouse 6-stand too where the birds are fired through trees and brush going away. I shot the 16 gauge Flues on the Grouse layout. I like the club a lot.
Tomorrow and Sunday is for the money.

I'd rather not discuss my scores (or lack thereof)
For those who have attended a vintage shoot, they will attest to seeing a handful of elite shooters who rarely miss a target. You will also see solid scores from shooters who practice sporting clays on a regular basis or are in a league. Finally, you get gun collectors who only shoot sporting clays with side by sides at these events and post terrible scores. I am in the last category.
The draw for me is the social aspect and the guns of course. I was in a squad with 4 others: 1 from Ohio, 1 from the U.P. of Michigan and a fun couple from St. Louis. All were good shooters. The couple had beautiful Perazzi's, one in 20 and 1 in 12. My new friend from Ohio shot a Win 21 Grand American in 28 gauge (the real deal... not a CSMC version) and my friend from Michigan alternated between a 20 gauge LC Smith and a NID that he bought from Walt and had restocked.
There were a variety of events and they could all be shot with any gauge, and choice of hammer or hammerless.
The club had excellent equipment and really great and friendly volunteers.
I highly recommend this shoot to anyone who can make the trip.

Sounds like a success, regardless.
