I am looking for a new Raybar sight for a plain barrel mdl. 37. I would be interested in several if the price is not too high. Thanks in advance,Dave

I have some of the earlier 2 band Raybar sights. What is your price expectation?

I would certainly be interested in buying one for my 1953 Field Grade M-37 if you have one you wouldn't mind parting with.

I too would have an interest in "some", depending on how many you have and what you want for them. I cannot see the little brass bead anymore and would like to convert 3 older 16ga guns over. Ithaca does have these: http://ithacagun.com/store/index.php?ma ... cts_id=168http://ithacagun.com/store/index.php?ma ... cts_id=167

As an answer to Dave's question of how I define "some."

Payment on the way for two. I'm glad you have a "few" laying around idle!

I will be sending for mine next Thursday (ie: payday). Those match the color on my 1956 exactly !
We are fortunate you have "some".
I am also going to buy a couple of the red plastic shell followers from Ithaca. When unloading the gun, and loading the dogs back in the truck and then double checking the gun, I like to be able to see that red follower.

Just wonfering how many versions of the raybar site Ithaca produced?
I have seen the ones like Ithacanut has posted as well as a shorter version. Not sure of the number of bands, but the raybar was shorter.Any idea when these changes took place?

The 2 band sight was replaced in 1973/4 with a shorter 1 band sight. It is possible to find some 1973 guns with the longer sight but with 1 band-a transition.

Thanks for that,Ithacanut.
My brothers 1973 Ithaca Model 37 12 gauge had the long version. At some point in time it was broken and I replaced with a short version.A couple of years ago while hunting with this shotgun,a buddy and I upset the canoe in some fast water .The shotgun spent about 24 hours on the bottom before I was able to find it.The Raybar sight was broken when it must have struck the rocks on the bottom. Was able to find another long version Raybar site to put back on the shotgun.

Sorry for bringing up a one year old thread, but I'm a new guy here. I had found this site/thread while looking for a front Raybar sight for my Model 37. Seeing as how I am a new guy I am not able to send a PM. So, if ithacanut should happen to see this, I too would be interested in two of the Raybar sights that he has, if they are still available. You can contact me through a PM or directly through e-mail [email protected]Thanks for your time and help, it is appreciated Joe

I guess I shouldn't tell anyone that I replaced the raybar with a plain brass bead on my trap gun. T.W.K.

Ithicanut, Any chance you still have "some" Raybar sights left? Working on my grandfathers gun and could use 2 of them?
