Greetings all, I just acquired this 1973 Ithaca 37. 37125xxx.My question is in regards to the choke stamp. I believe there should be a "CYL" stamp on left side barrel close to the receiver. Im aware that the "O" stamp means CYL which this one has marked on right side of barrel. Is this a real trench 20 inch barrel with no CYL marking? Thanks

I would think there should be a stamping indicating choke constriction provided that the barrel does not have rifle sights. A picture of the barrel especially with a close up of the stampings would be helpful.

That looks to be a law enforcement model with the extended mag tube. That barrel should choke out to CYL. Measure it if you can.

Check under the barrel just above the mag tube.
I have multiples of this model, all 12 gauge w/ 20" barrels and every one of them is marked with "CYL" on the left side of the barrel. But I do have a 30" 7/8 shot barrel marked "FULL". Never shot it.
