Hi all. There is a nice 20ga in a LGS. I have two questions about it:
One: Shouldn’t it fire twice after cocking? It doesn’t.

Two: With the action open there is a little wiggle in the hinges. Maybe 1/8” at most at the butt stock. I don’t know much about old doubles and others in there seemed tighter. Concern?

Thanks!

Darryl - the single trigger is recoil operated. There is a little gold selector button in the trigger. Push it to the right. Pull the trigger and one barrel should go off. Do not open the gun. Now, while holding the gun in your left hand, give it a good firm rap in the butt with your right palm. Then pull the trigger again and the second barrel should fire. If you are successful, push the trigger button (barrel selector) to the left and repeat the process. If all works, you're good. These SKB triggers are generally very reliable. Obviously, with live shells in the gun, the recoil of the first shot will reset the trigger for the second.

As for looseness, close the gun and remove the forearm. Grab the barrels in your left hand and the receiver in your right. There should be no looseness as you twist from side to side. If there is, walk away. Hope this helps.
