I’m sure you’re right.

How did you place your order? Fax, phone or ?

Initially I phoned and spoke with a lady named Patty, she took my order and said someone would call me back, took several days maybe close to a week, then Jeremiah called to confirm order and process my credit card payment.

I had to get my Gun shop to send their FFL information so it could ship. I sent an email asking if I could get tracking when it ships , never got a reply, so today I tried phone several attempts with no answer.

The new Ithaca 37 (20 gauge) came in today. Im super impressed with the build quality, fit/finish, attn. to detail.

I own several Browning BPS, great shotguns IMO, I really like them, but I have to admit I really feel the Ithaca has them beat in terms of how it fits me.

I weighed each on my postal scale, Browning BPS 20g/26" = 6lbs 14.5 oz.
Ithaca 37 20g/26" = 6 lbs 10oz.

Here's what jumped out to me the most between the two brands, its the raised rib on the Browning VS the Ithaca which sits lower to the barrel. After shouldering the Ithaca and looking down the rib & then shouldering the BPS and looking down the raised rib, the BPS raised vent rib just seems a bit Unnatural, sort of like it was an afterthought put on the gun at the last minute, whereas the 37 rib just seems to be one with the gun, like it was always there to begin with, it just blends in better.

The AA grade wood is better than what I was expecting. Im not good at posting photos, but I have them on my Iphone, if anyone wants I can send them in an email link.
my email is: [email protected]

I've definately got to try and get the matching 12 Gauge, hopefully by the end of the year anyway.

Me too. I called yesterday to get one ordered. I got a lead on a like new used M37, which I’m still considering but definitely want a brand new Ithaca.

It’s a very good looking gun! I have a like new ‘75 Featherlight that doesn’t have anywhere near that level of fit and finish.

Beautiful shotgun, thanks for posting those weights, my two year old Featherlight 12ga, with a 24 inch field barrel weighs 7lbs 3oz's.

I’m still waiting impatiently for a call back. I understand the current situation though. When I called they were still running a light staff due to the Wuhan flu. That was going on two weeks ago.

What setup did you decide on? 12 or 20 gauge? 26/28" barrel?

Hope they get your order worked in soon.

I want both gauges in 26” barrel length. Still on the fence as to which I’ll start with but right now I’d say it’s 51% 12 gauge, 49% 20. When they call me back I’ll flip a coin, knowing I’ll be happy with either one.

Ive got a handwritten letter with my order information for the 12 gauge ready to mail. I might just snail mail it, it harder to overlook a hard copy order than an email IMO.

Now trying to decide which to buy first the 37/12 G or a new S&W 1911 I’ve been eyeing at local gun shop, lol.
