Item number 874703498 made in 1932. In good condition except the barrel has been cut to 28" and a Polychoke added. If that's not enough there is a horrible stock extension. How very, very sad. It's at $299.99. What kind of idiot would do that?

Whats done is done, so lets look at this another way. Crank the choke closed and you have a turkey gun. Open it for slugs and you have a Deer gun that`s built like a tank.

Whoever buys this should get it cheap enough to take it out in the field and not worry about nick`s and scratches if they enjoy hunting with a heavy single shot. They may even want to add a sling.

Pretty unique Knick if I say so myself. If it could only talk.

I HAD to go look at it! Now I am going to have to take some industrial strength stomach anti acids to stop the reflux that it triggered! Unbelievable!!!

What a [email protected] shame. The gun has some utility as biglar noted, but is but a shadow of its former fine self. Bubba strikes again and hard.

I actually thought about bidding on it as a utility gun. However lack of a safety severally limits its' field use.

Well, take off the stock extension and at least that is fixed. The poly choke on the other hand is hard to undo. The way the cut the rib in between stanchions really bothers me. The end of the rib is just kind floating. I guess it could be cut back a smidgen more and choke tubes threaded? No matter what the value will be in using it, not as an investment.

There is a whole tub full of new, in-the-white Knick barrels out at Ithaca-Sandusky. Good luck at getting them to part with one, though!

Yep. I was very surprised that there was a 32-incher up on Ebay a couple of months ago that sat without anyone putting in the $199 opening bid for almost a month. I was tempted, but the fitting--both of the lug and the forearm iron--has the potential to be quite complicated, apparently.

And I see it drew 11 bids and sold for $510.01.
