Would someone please post or send me a photo of this part so I can get an idea of where and how much to bend it?
Watching the take down videos, it's apparent that there is some curvature to this. It's difficult to tell how much and which way that curve is from the vids. Mine is almost flat and the replacement I bought is also flat.
It appears that this shell check isn't doing it's job and that's why it's dumping shells when the action is run.
A photo of the edge of the shell stop would really be helpful. Thanks .

Your not going to bend the shell stop, it is heat treated.
You have to replace the shell stop spring, very small and light weight.
A lot depends on how clean the gun is and how the small retaining screw is oiled.
Any dirt in the machined recess will cause the shell stop to stick.

It's the other shell stop, the one without the spring.

Both shell stops have to have the proper bend to them, but can only be done successfully with the correct tools, and knowing how much to adjust them.
