Many have seen this gun on here before and it’s pretty unique. I ended up buying it because I wanted the wood. Haven’t made up my mind if I am going to restore the piece or not. It’s just far enough gone to warrant it.

Well the former owner told me there was stuff within the stock. He wasn’t kidding!!! The pics below will tell the story. I didn’t realize he was a jeweler. I guess we know who most likely engraved the name in the receiver. The stock certainly was hollowed out.

I’ve turned up a little on the fellow. Stay tuned on that. Fun digging into these old ones. He certainly shot a lot of skeet with this one.

The other thing that threw me was the “clip” on the magazine tube. I have never seen one of these on a 37 before. Not sure of the purpose. Being a jeweler I am also guessing he crafted this as well.

The clip and the full hollow out of the stock.

Matt,I'm glad your the one who got the gun. Was hoping it was someone on here. Can't wait to hear the rest. That gun was owned with a great sense of pride at one time I'm sure.

Hey Matt, There is always one that didn't get the memo and I am he. Please post a photo of the wood when you get a chance.
Best, Walt

I remember seeing that one for sale. Congrats on the new acquisition. Snohomish is about a 40 minute drive from me.

I considered that one as well. Glad it went to a good home.
