Hi folks been a long time since I been around. Life’s been hell but oh well!

My buddy has a a first year 37 that he wants to sell.
I’d call it 90% original finish.
Serial number 2994
No choke designation on barrel.

What was the original LOP on these guns?
It does not have original sunburst butt pad on it and want to make sure it wasn’t cut down.
From trigger to end of wood it’s measuring approx 13 1/8”


Also under what serial number was the single/double extractor?

It’s a Beautiful gun either way.

What would you consider value to be?

Dual extractors came out on S/N #2200. None of first year guns had a choke marking of any sort, you will start seeing them about 1939. Field grade guns would have come with a butt plate without an Ithaca logo in '37. As far as vale pictures would help. A collector would probable offer more than most but you don't find to many 37 collectors. If a field grade most folks will value it as a 12GA 2&3/4 gun for $350-$450. A collector a bit more depending on condition.

Hey Joe if you are still interested my 1938 M37 has a 13 1/8" LOP from trigger to end of wood. It was also built with a sunburst pad. As josepi pointed out, there are no visible choke markings.
