I have been on the gun buying sidelines all year but a D.U. dinner gun popped up at a price so low I had to buy it. The interesting news on this one is that an envelope with instructions from Ducks Unlimited headquarters on how to market and raffle the gun was included with it. I have a pretty solid collection of Ithaca catalogs, advertising and signage and I never knew this packet existed. I have scanned the pages and included them here for anyone interested to learn about DU and the Ithaca M51 dinner gun.

Did anyone notice on page 2 of the 4 page "inside Story" document that D.U. national headquarters was charging back $350 to the chapter to "cover the cost of the gun to DU!"
Is it possible that Ithaca charged only $350 for these? List price for an M51 deluxe trap, non-monte carlo stock in 1978 was $364.95 according to Shooter's Bible. A deluxe skeet was only $324.95 list.
Perhaps someone on the executive committee or board of directors was a big Ducks Unlimited supporter?
