Good morning! I have the potential to buy a M37 Featherweight 16ga. Vented rib. 672XXX with an R below the last X and what appears to be a 5 under that R. The receiver has matching 672XXX but no other numbers or letters.
Also it is a 27 1/4 barrel (muzzle to receiver) and is full choked, checkered had grip (plain version) and fancy checkered foregrip.
Any ideas?
Thank you!
Eric

Thanks 1953. Value is heavily dependent on condition. Post some pictures of the gun.

The bluing is excellent, wood on stock is road rash - no cracks
Have not figured out how to post pictures yet. seems that they are too big

I believe that the 4 following your serial number designates a full choked barrel, usually 28" or 30" in a 12 gauge gun. Your bluing looks good, the stock is scratched. I'll go out on a limb with the limited info and say it's worth approximately $400. Perhaps some of the more astute members here will comment.
