I had mentioned a long time ago I had seen a model 59 in 20 gauge but didn't get pictures. Apparently there is another one that's up for sale on guns international Ohio. I am in no way connected to this gun or seller. I'm not sure how to link the site from my phone. I just thought I'd mention it if anyone wanted to see one. It's worth mentioning that it appears to have a model 50 type steel barrel instead of fiberglass. It has the model 59 game scenes and gold trigger. The one I have ran across was smooth sided like a featherweight 50 I believe but still had the gold trigger guard but no vent rib barrel. Interesting.

Thanks researcher! What's your take on this experimental model 59. Do you think it's the real deal. I don't see anyone taking the time to build up a fake model 59 in 20 gauge. They don't have the following or command the prices of say the model 12. More of a cult following (I,m in that cult) so based on that I'd say it's legit buy my opinion is far from gospel.

Wood doesn't look right especially the checkering on the pistol grip.
Engraving has a definite Japanese flair to it.
Other than that, I would rather have a Model 50 20ga.

Is that a Phillips head screw holding the grip cap on?
