I know this is the wrong group but I need help to stop buying SuperX's. At a local gun show yesterday and found a 42xxx skeet grade, great wood, ribbed trigger, screw rib barrel and skeet choke, just a few marks in the bluing on the underside of the barrel (gun rack maybe). Still had the sticker on the piston, plug in the mag tube and looked seldom fired. Had to take it home, making it #5 1/2 on the lineup. Even passed on a beautiful Browning Double Auto to get it, and that's what I was looking for.... Is there a cure?

I beg your pardon. I only elaborated on a statement made by the OP.
In the spirit of compassion I’ll expand on my response to the OP’s cry for help. Here’s my advice.
Stop buying SX-1’s by buying more Browning Double Auto’s. {hs#

I have three including a Skeet Model NIB. Get them while you can. Only 80K were made

They only made 67,000 of the Dbl Auto.

it was a beauty, Velvet Grey receiver, good wood and looked like it hadn't been shot much or ever hunted. I didn't linger too long, can't say on choke, rib or other details. I've wanted one of those sweet oddballs for a while but have the soft spot in my head for the SX. Show will be back in March, I'll be saving my change til then.

I'm glad to talk up the DA, been chasing one for a few years, just can't find the right one at my price. I try to be a 'shotgun Jesus' and love them all equally, from Auto 5, Citori, BPS, Model 37 and other JMB inventions to the works of others, just can't rock the hair and beard of 'Gun Jesus' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0qe45Z8wfk

Lucky for me they didn’t make a left hand version.

There are two on display at the Cody Firearms Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center in
Cody, Wy.
However they never got into production as Winchester closed down the Super X-1 program.

And that is because they lost money on each one that they produced
