My friend who has now passed away got me hooked on model 12's. He was a big time Cowboy Action shooter, and was an expert on tuning and trigger jobs on the 12's. Unfortunately his expertise was not passed on.

I have recently acquired a 1928 Modified choke vent rib gun that I want to use for registered
sporting clays events instead of the 1917 Full choke gun I have been using that was tuned by my friend.

All of that leads to - man the new gun needs a trigger job. If anyone knows a gunsmith that knows the model 12's and could work some magic I would appreciate their contact info.

Also, I have seen a few references to the possible existence of Timney triggers for model 12's. Does anyone know anything about that?

I would try Nu-Line Guns.
They are a Winchester warranty shop and they have done excellent trigger jobs for me on SX-1's.
