Hi, New member here. I have a question for the Winchester guys. I have an early 101 54xxx range. I need a buttstock. Mine is very short and in bad shape. Is there any interchangeably between first and second generations?

Probably not. Sleuth internet gun parts sites for a replacement. You might check Nuline Guns and even EBay

Chris at Eagle trading is a great source both for the stock and for information. Just buy what he has for sale and recommends and you will be fine both on fit and price. There are long trigger guards and short trigger guards to consider. I have a Classic Doubles 101 and have purchased several stocks from Ebay and all fitted with some minor work. I think the forearms are more of a problem between the series of guns than the buttstocks.
