I was on the Benelli website and noticed they have a 20 gauge SBE 3 now. They also have a 3” 12 gauge and some new BE.S.T models.

I saw that today. I wonder if they will keep producing the M2?

Do you know if it’s substantially any different than the M2? I hope they don’t get rid of the M2.

I think getting rid of the M2 would be a mistake. But I'm sure Benelli is just looking at the money since the SBE line is a couple hundred more than an M2. Wonder if they will offer the 3" and 20ga in LH versions?
I imagine there will be alot of shops and consumers fooled when they see a SBE and automatically assume it's a 3.5" only to find out later it's not.

Macks PW has 10 in bottomland and several in max5. I placed an order for a max5 from Sportmans Warehouse and should get it 25 March.

MPW and Sportsmans are both $1600 free shipping. I was able to get it for $1440 at Sportsmans because I had a 10% off coupon (and for once firearms were not excluded from the offer!). This will replace my current M2 20g
Call me unlucky but I have had too many benelli clicks for my taste. Mostly happens when I am grouse hunting and walking through brush which can bump the bolt out of battery.

yes, two piece receiver. Though the overall design is closer to an Ethos than the previous SBE.
I am really looking forward to cleaning this shotgun! Everything else I own is traditional 1 piece receiver which are difficult to clean the bolt rails.... this is where I tended to get cycling issues.

My wife sent our hunting buddy and I, someones story on IG, where they were opening the case for the first time (I think the hip kids call it a reveal lol) and it was one piece like an M2. We were all very confused, as we had assumed it was like a 12 gauge SBE, just a bit smaller. Might've been a demo or something, but it was definitely a one piece receiver.
