Ok, sent two barrels off to Benelli back at the end of Feb. I had hoped to see them back before turkey season, especially after being told that is should take 3-4 weeks. I went ahead and set up another gun just in case.

Several ensuing phone calls to the factory and finally found out that they were waiting on parts.....and waiting. The barrels came back the first of this week, May 10.

So, at mostly no cost to me, I did have to pay for shipping to the factory, and a couple of new choke tubes, and a new site, and some camo stuff, etc for the other gun :) Although there was nothing wrong with one of them they have both had the upgrade ejector parts installed atleast I have them back in plenty of time for duck season.

It seems that they have changed from the roll pins that were originally used and now are using what looks like a rivet.

I've been finding out many people within the tactical community and serious 3-gun competitors using the Benelli are upgrading to custom made solid roll pins through the entire gun.

Lets see. It took them over 2 months to look at one barrel and put a pin in the other one? I'm underwhelmed. By the way, what kind of barrels did you send them?

No, the shipping was only the typical 2-3 days either way. The parts that they replaced in both barrels were supposedly back ordered from Italy. The barrels were 12ga M1 Super 90s from '93 and '94 or '96 and '97 I think. The one was actually broken as the roll pin had fallen out and wallowed out the hole; and the other was still working just upgraded.
