I'm thinking of buying a Montefeltro in 20 ga for my kids to use. I have 2 questions.

1) Can I buy a full sized one and also buy a youth stock for it until they get big enough to shoot the adult version?

2) Does Benelli still provide those stock shims with this model? Their web page is confusing on this point.

Thanks for any help you can give.

It looks like you can buy the short stock separate and change it out once they get older. As for the stock shims I would assume that it comes with them, but I cannot verify it. If you call the customer support line (301) 283-6981 I'm sure they will be able to tell you.

It does come with 3 different shims and changing them out is no problem at all.

They come with shims & I did the same thing you are thinking about. I bought a youth stock for mine . My boy used it till he outgrew the stock.

I have a 20 ga Montefeltro and it's great. My wife loves it too, and she's fairly petite, about 5' 4" and 110 lbs. The stock was a little high for me, but the gun is a pleasure to shoot and it's easy to clean. My wife has told me that I have to promise to give her this gun and get another one for myself. . . .

Austin,

Did you try the shims that came with it to lower the stock?
