I recently inherited this 12 ga. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

They'll "float" a 4th shell - if you have the plug in the magazine!

I have an SBE H&K import and one of the problems with some of them is trying to change the recoil spring. On some there's no nut on the end of the tube like there is on the other 90+% of the guns. If you've got one that doesn't have that nut, I posted on how to change the spring. Here's the post:

It's really not that hard.
Enjoy the gun, they are really nice.

I'll check it out. Thanks for the information.

I've had one since '94. I've had one malfunction in it over the course of probably 75,000 rounds. That was from a chunk of mud that kept it from going into battery - so not really a malfunction as the gun didn't discharge out of battery. It has cycled everything reliably including loads lighter than recommended. Back when the recoil link coming off the bolt was cast, I had 2 of them break and the gun still functioned with the broken link. The only other parts I've replaced have been springs. It was my only hunting/clays shotgun from '94 until '02. I have semi-retired it because I have since bought several others, but I won't part with it because it's never failed me.

I have an original sbe. Has a wolfspring. Jams from time to time. I love the gun, however, in my experience, they are not a jam free gun neither is the sbe 2. It happens.
My super Vinci eats everything. And hasn’t jammed yet.
