Benelli Discontinuing the Super Sport?

I find that hard to believe. A friend says they are in fact discontinuing it. He also says that, since Benelli bought Stoeger's, Stoeger's has a gun that is just about as good. I find that hard to believe too.

Anyone know what's going on?

They are still shown on their website. Why not send them a question rather than deal with second hand information?

The Super Sport has been around for a bit, who knows, maybe they are going to replace it with something on the Ethos action. That would be a step in the wrong direction if you ask me but most companies are about the bottom dollar these days.

I had a Super Sport Performance Shop in 20ga a few years back, it rarely came out of the safe and was traded off for 725 Sporting that has also since gone down the road. They are good looking guns with the CF and red anodized bits but I just hate chasing shells.
