Montefeltro Sporting

Thinking about getting a Montefeltro Sporting to shoot at clay pigeons. Trying to decide between this and the A300 Outlander Sporting.

Does the porting lessen the recoil? Make it louder?
I read somewhere that it was made in Spain. Is that correct or is it made in Italy?

Some say that porting helps with muzzle lift & that might be true. I personaly don't like holes in my barrel & Yes, it will make the gun louder. My Montefeltro Super 90 is made in Italy, but I don't know where the newer models are made.

The Beretta is 7.5 lbs. vs. the Monty at 7.2 so with the ported barrel I would guess 7 or 7.1 lbs. I would think that the heavier gas operated Beretta would be a softer shooter than the lighter inertia Monty. My 26" Monty Super 90 weighs 6.5 lbs, made in Italy, but is an older model.

I have the Montefeltro Sporting. For me, it's a great gun. Fits me perfectly and I like the rib. The porting, in my mind, is nonsense, and is hard to clean. So, if I had a choice, I'd get an unported barrel.

Other than that, it's a fine gun.
