Where are Benellis made?

I keep seeing that Montefeltros are made in Spain. Somewhere I read that M2s are made in Spain, but am not sure that is true. Where are they made? Are the Spanish made guns any better? If so, why?

Are far as I know they are made in Italy, that's what's stamped on the side of the receiver.

Mine says it’s made in Italy. Stamped as such on the receiver and the barrel.

Not sure where I read that about Montefeltros and Spain but that's what I get for trusting the Internet. Have another Montefeltro on the way so hopefully it's the same (or better) as the older ones.
