Hello, I have a 12 gauge RRL and a 20 gauge Sporting Clay model RRL. I like both of them but I probably use the 12 gauge more than the 20. After returning from South Dakota this year I notice the inside of the 20 gauge receiver had some fairly deep scratches will the 12 gauge was as smooth as can be. I can't say that I noticed any resistance in breaking or closing the barrels but something must be dragging at least some of the time. I believe the barrels are lighter on the Sporting Clay models but that shouldn't have anything to do with scratching the receiver when opening or closing the shotgun? Is this something to worry about or something I can fix? Is this a problem anyone else experienced.

I have the same problem with my 20 ga sporting model Red Label. I bought it that way but kind of think it hurts the value. Don't know how the scratches got there but I don't feel any dragging either. FWIW Grade6man

Just exactly where are the scratches? Never noticed any on mine.
