My Supernova can be loaded with the hammer down (uncocked) by holding the forearm in a forward position. This is contrary to the user manual which states the gun must be cocked and locked to load it.
Question: Is there any harm to the gun loading it uncocked?
The advantage is that I don’t have to either store it with the firing spring under tension (what the cops call “cruiser ready”) or have a snap cap in the chamber that may not eject or jam under duress.

Also, loading an uncocked gun in the house just seems safer.

Modern springs do not loose tension by by being stored under tension . Your car is full of them.

Basic physics says otherwise, as do these experts.

Springs weaken and ultimately break from repeated compression and relaxation. There have been documented cases of magazines that have been stored fully loaded since WWII that worked just fine. Sure they shorten a bit and lose a little bit of tension but not enough to negatively effect reliability. Especially if you download by one.
