I have an 870 Tactical and I want a collapsible stock so my wife and some of our friends can shoot it more comfortably. I was looking at the Mesa Tactical LEO adapter and it's not the price that turns me off, it's the limited options I'll have for pistol grips because it can't have a beavertail. The Tacstar adapter allows me to use a grip with a beavertail but it's probably not as good quality and it has a downward angle that I don't think I'd like. The other option is the ATI talon T3 stock. The gap between the grip and trigger guard bothers me but they are extremely comfortable so I may be able to overlook that.

Has anyone used one of the hydraulic buffer tubes? I'm curious if that additional movement of the buffer tube compressing takes you off target more or takes more training to stay on target between shots.
