I need a sling mount for my Mossberg 590A1 that offers the "loop" at the 6 o'clock position, not at the side.

Scattergun Technology provided one, now sold by Wilson Combat, but it indicates it is only for the Remington 870.

Anyone have a lead on one like this for the Mossberg 590A1?

Here's a pic of the one Wilson sells:

The wilson combat sling mount for the 870 is easily modified to fit the 590A1

Here is my Shockwave with a Wilson Combat 870 sling loop

You need to remove .010-.015. A half round file will make short work of it.

Agreed, but it does only take about 5 minutes to fit it.

I am a mechanical moron, could you guys walk me through this? What kind of file, specifically, do I need? And how do I do it? And why is it necessary? I suspect it is because the 590A1 is thicker than that of the Remington? Correct?

And as I do this, is there any problem in smoothing it our?

Most impotantly? Give me a link to the file I need to buy, on Amazon, preferably?

THANKS very much.

The gap between the barrel and the magazine tube is smaller on the 590, so you need to remove material from the top of the radius on the plate so it will slide between the barrel and mag tube. Once you try to put the plate on you will see where the plate hits the bottom of the Barrel. A half round file is flat on one side and rounded on the other, “D” shaped. Use the rounded side and slowly remove the extra steel untill the plate will slide on easily.
