Hey, all. First post here.

I bought an Affinity 3 a few months ago after agonizing over semiautos for a couple of years. I'm an old hand at rifles and pistols (USPSA and Steel Challenge) but a relative noob with shotguns.

I started out on shotgun Road with an ATI Cavalry 12g O/U, learned to hit clays on a regular basis and started dreaming of a semi. Looked at the Stoeger 3k, Mossberg 930JM, Benelli M2s and the like and stumbled across the Franchi quite accidentally. It came in the Bottomland camo, 26" bbl and inertia drive that I wanted and a price point I could easily get behind.

After a few months, over a thousand rounds without a FTF or any sort of jam (including quite a few half-azzed attempts at reloading) and LOTS of positive comments from folks I shoot with, I made the right decision. Even if an M2 came with the features I was looking for, I still consider the A3 a better gun than the M2 because of the recoil spring being around the mag tube (can you say "full-length guide rod"?) versus being stuffed in the buttstock. The A3 even comes with drop and cast shims to make it fit just right and weighs just under 7#.

What's not to like?
