About 4 months ago, my son went to a few gun shops and handled a number of different shotguns, and settled on the Franchi Affinity 3 in 12 gauge. Well...he's now saved enough money, and there are none to be found in the model he wants (26" barrel in Max-5 camo).
However I did find a used Intensity 3.5 in the same camo and barrel length as the Affinity 3 that he wanted for a good deal. From what I can find, it sounds like they are VERY similar except for the Intensity can shoot 3.5" shells.
He has no use for shooting 3.5" shells (doesn't waterfowl/goose hunt). Does having a gun chambered in 3.5" offer any DISadvantage? Any reason to NOT get a 3.5 if he'll never shoot 3.5" shells (i.e. will the 3.5 not cycle 2.75" shells as well)?
Thanks for your help.
