Hi all old member been off the board for several years. Anyway just acquired a 28ga Baikal in excellent condition shoots well but seems a little ammo picky. Get the occasional light strike from the bottom barrel using Federal. A message from EAA seems to indicate all lower firing pins are the same, anybody know if that is true.

I believe it is. Light primer strikes on the lower barrel of Izh-27 are usually caused by the hammer dragging on the wood of the stock. See if there are drag marks and if yes, you know what to do

Thanks sir, that was the case. Sanded the marks out, and no light hits in two boxes.
