Hi all old member been off the board for several years. Anyway just acquired a 28ga Baikal in excellent condition shoots well but seems a little ammo picky. Get the occasional light strike from the bottom barrel using Federal. A message from EAA seems to indicate all lower firing pins are the same, anybody know if that is true.

I believe it is.

Light primer strikes on the lower barrel of Izh-27 are usually caused by the hammer dragging on the wood of the stock. See if there are drag marks and if yes, you know what to do :)

Thanks sir, that was the case. Sanded the marks out, and no light hits in two boxes.
