For not posting often here but I mostly hunt with frontstuffers.
However, yesterday I had small surgery and before hand took the dog for a hunt, I grabbed my little Baikal single 12g for a change and bagged two squirrels of which the dog was delighted with.

Surgery went well and I hope to be hobbling to a plot of wood with a 410 tomorrow.

It’s fun taking the single shot out once in a while!

Nice little score. Love some squirrel, so far it is the #1 favorite mystery meat in my household, haha. I love my little Baikal single shot too. It is a pleasure to carry and perfect for squirrels. Plus, not afraid to experiment on it. For example, whacking a tree with the barrel until it hits exactly where I point it :)

What type of surgery did you have?

Ratdog,

Hope you are doing well.

Just curious, is there public hunting land in the UK or is all private?

I prefer to use one of the single shot shotguns for most on my hunting (except wingshooting). Like you know, easy to carry and easy to change loads if needed. I do more walking and browsing than shooting most of the time anyway.

Good luck and keep posting pictures when possible.
