I just bought one. Picking it up tomorrow. I have Federal 3.5” 18 pellet copper plated 00 buck along with several others to test. The Extreme Plus model comes with an extended full choke so I will start there. I hope the Kick Off system will make the 3.5” shells tolerable

I shot it the other day. The 3.5” shells patterned well but recoil was heavy even with the Kick Off. It patterned Rem 3” 00 buck with the full choke just fine. At 40 yards all pellets were inside 16” with the worst shot, the best one was about 13”. Mine patterned hi, but I never changed the stock drop shim so I was seeing a lot of rib. I ordered a custom 70mm shim set from Tronspace Stock Works, hopefully that will bring my poi down.

There's been plenty of deer killed with 2 3/4" and 3" 00B loads. I've killed a couple of truckloads with Winchester 3" 00B and a Kick's Buck kicker full choke. Pattern your gun with several loads and chokes and see what it likes best before you hunt. Check this forum for some of RMc's posts on patterning. Good luck!

I use a buck kicker full with Remington 3.5 00 and gives a great pattern.

I have one. I use Fiocchi 3G red powder coated slugs (to minimize the leading) and Federal tactical low recoil slugs in the blue hull. Took a deer with the Federal at 55 yards. Both shoot excellent out to 75 yards with the factory full choke. I also use the full choke for Remington 2 3/4” buck #4, #1, and #0 and I am happy with the patterns out to 50 yards. I also shot one 3.5” #4 buck and it made an incredible pattern at 50 yards, but there are still 4 shells left in that box and I wont be shooting any more of them. I just got a Kicks Buck Kicker extra full, gonna try it tomorrow.
